Our Story
Babes Bakery began in the heart of Kaimukī, born from two passions baked into one kitchen. During the pandemic, Angela and John - stuck at home with two kids and a whole lot of flour - decided to return to what they loved most: baking. Angela found her joy in sweets, John in sourdough, and together they created Babes Bakery - a one-stop shop for sourdough and sweets, where “sweet and sour” found its home. What started with gingerbread cookies and classic loaves quickly outgrew their home oven and turned into a local favorite. Today, Babes Bakery continues to rise (pun intended) as the go-to neighborhood bakery for handcrafted bread, desserts, and everything in between.
The Bakers
Angela and John are the heart (and hands) behind Babes Bakery. What began as a pandemic passion project quickly turned into a shared dream - Angela crafting sweets that spark nostalgia, and John perfecting the art of sourdough. Together, they’ve built a neighborhood bakery that celebrates simple ingredients, bold flavors, and the joy of feeding their community one bake at a time.
Our vision is to remain authentic, never chasing trends, but always nurturing the kind of quality and consistency that invites people back day after day. By honoring our roots and supporting local farms and vendors, we hope to grow Babes Bakery into a household name across the island, known for flavor, comfort, and heart.
Our mission at Babes Bakery is simple: to fill our community - not just their stomachs, but their hearts - with bread and sweets that taste like home.
